For this role we are looking for a skilled LAMP Full Stack Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of high-performance web applications. You’ll work with PHP 8.1, MySQL, Redis, and CloudFlare to build scalable and secure solutions. Collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams is key, as well as writing clean code, reviewing peers' work, and mentoring junior developers. We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about building efficient web systems.
You will
-Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of high-performance web applications using the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
-Develop robust and efficient web and service layer components using PHP 8.1.
-Design and optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures for scalability and performance.
-Implement and manage session management using Redis to ensure seamless user experiences.
-Utilize CloudFlare CDN effectively to optimize content delivery, improve application performance, and enhance security.
-Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
-Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
-Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
-Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
-Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and advocating for their adoption when appropriate.
-Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
-Contribute to the overall architecture and technical strategy of our applications.
You have
-5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.
-Expert-level proficiency with the LAMP stack:
PHP 8.1+: Strong command of modern PHP concepts, frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony - experience with at least one preferred), and best practices.
-MySQL: Extensive experience with database design, optimization, complex queries, and data migration.
-Apache/Nginx: Solid understanding of web server configuration and optimization.
-Linux: Comfortable working in a Linux environment, including command-line operations and scripting.
-Proven experience with Redis for session management and caching.
-Demonstrable experience integrating and optimizing applications with CloudFlare CDN.
-Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular - experience with at least one preferred).
-Experience with RESTful API design and consumption.
-Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
-Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
-Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
