Position Overview
The Legal Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for prospective clients. This role involves managing inbound inquiries, conducting initial interviews to assess case eligibility, and accurately documenting information for attorney review. The Intake Specialist plays a vital role in converting leads into active cases while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries from potential clients.
Conduct scripted and adaptive interviews to evaluate case merit and urgency.
Perform conflict checks and verify client identity.
Enter detailed case information into CRM and legal practice management systems (e.g., Clio, MyCase).
Schedule consultations and send reminders to reduce no-show rates.
Prepare intake packets including incident details, timelines, insurance information, and supporting evidence.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and firm confidentiality policies.
Monitor KPIs such as lead-to-case conversion rate, first response time, and data accuracy.
Collaborate with attorneys and marketing teams to refine intake criteria and follow-up strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
