Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented WordPress Frontend Developer who specializes in building custom WordPress themes using page builders like Elementor and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF). The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and should be comfortable converting Figma or PSD designs into fully responsive and accessible websites. You will be working closely with designers and QA teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementations.
Responsibilities:
Convert Figma/PSD designs into responsive WordPress websites using ACF, Elementor, and other page builders.
Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes (no reliance on pre-made templates).
Write clean, well-documented, and reusable frontend code (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery).
Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility.
Optimize websites for performance (lazy loading, asset minification, caching).
Implement accessibility and SEO best practices.
Collaborate with QA to deliver pixel-perfect, WCAG-compliant interfaces.
Work with Git repositories and deployment pipelines.
Proactively communicate blockers or delays to the project manager.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in WordPress theme development with a frontend focus.
Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and responsive design principles.
Experience with Elementor, ACF, and similar page builder tools.
Comfortable working with WP core functions like hooks, filters, and template hierarchy.
Ability to translate Figma/PSD designs into clean WordPress frontends.
Familiarity with Git workflows.
Understanding of performance optimization and SEO best practices.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
Nice to Have:
Experience with WooCommerce customizations.
Familiarity with Gutenberg and custom block development.
Understanding of accessibility (ADA, WCAG compliance).
Exposure to white-label or agency environments.
Experience using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot.
