Sutherland is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to play a key role in the implementation, customization, and integration of our Fraud Detection and Anti-Money Laundering solutions from NICE Actimize Premier. This role requires a strong technical background in software development, customer interaction, and project execution. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Data Science, and Customer Support, to deliver high-quality solutions to financial institutions.
Job Description
The Professional Services Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:
•\tDevelop, configure, and implement software features according to design documents and enterprise software standards.
•\tOversee the technical planning and execution of customer projects, ensuring successful deployment.
•\tEngage with customers to address technical queries, provide support during user acceptance testing, and manage expectations.
•\tIdentify and resolve technical project dependencies and risks, collaborating with internal teams as necessary.
•\tWork with Engineering teams to develop 3rd party integrations and optimize software deployment processes.
•\tCollaborate with Data Scientists to create and deploy Machine Learning models.
•\tLead recurring technical discussions, presenting key updates, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders.
•\tProvide deployment progress updates to management using reporting tools and dashboards.
•\tOccasionally work on-site with clients or in different time zones, as required.

Qualifications
•\tEducation: BS/BA Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
•\tExperience: 3-5+ years in a Professional Services or Software Development role.
•\tStrong programming skills, with expertise in Python, SQL, PL/SQL, and database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
•\tHands-on experience with Unix commands and shell scripting.
•\tFamiliarity with Cloud technologies (AWS preferred), DevOps tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes), and ETL processes.
•\tSolid understanding of Web Services, RESTful APIs, networking, and web technologies.
•\tExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large datasets and troubleshoot technical issues.
•\tStrong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to translate complex technical details for various audiences.
•\tAbility to work independently, adapt to changing business needs, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•\tExperience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
•\tKnowledge of financial systems, banking technologies (ACH, Wire, Online banking platforms such as Jack Henry, Fiserv, FIS), and fraud/risk compliance solutions.
•\tActimize-related experience (AIS/RCM/UDM) is a plus.
•\tStrong analytical and quantitative skills for problem-solving in financial domains.
