Position: AR Specialist / Collections Specialist

Work Modality: Remote
Location Focus: Candidates from Kenya and LATAM
Language Requirement: Advanced English (Spanish is a plus)
Compensation Note: Includes a $100 performance bonus upcharge for OPS allocation.
 
 Experience & Education
Experience: 1 - 2 years preferred. Open to candidates with less experience if they have a solid foundation in collections and are comfortable handling a high volume of calls.
Candidates with backgrounds in accounting or billing management who can transition smoothly into collections are also welcome.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelors degree.

 Key Responsibilities
Proactively follow up with customers on past-due invoices via phone and email.
Manage the credit application process for new and existing customers, including collecting financial documents, assessing risk, and recommending credit limits.
Generate and distribute weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) reports.
Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
Collaborate with sales and finance teams to resolve disputes and ensure timely collections.
Process credit card payments through Chase Merchant Services and apply them in QuickBooks Desktop.
Accurately document collection efforts and payment arrangements in Salesforce.
 
 Required Skills
Hard Skills:
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Salesforce.
Experience with credit application and risk evaluation.
Familiarity with AR reporting and reconciliation.
Ability to process and apply credit card payments accurately.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proactive follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
 Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Chase Merchant Services.
Familiarity with SharePoint for document management.
Prior experience in a B2B collections environment.
 
 Additional Notes
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and confident in managing customer-facing communications. They should bring a balance of persistence and professionalism to collections and demonstrate a strong understanding of AR best practices.
