What Youll Do
Do you have a passion for helping others and giving them peace of mind? As a Bilingual Spanish-English Medical Interpreter youll support medical consumers in the US where Spanish is their first language over the telephone or video. During these interactions, youll treat patients, medical providers, and all others involved in the conversations with respect and dignity and with the utmost professionalism.
During a Typical Day, Youll
Provide effective remote interpretation services between Spanish and English including all details of the conversations with no additions or omissions
Handle complex interactions via telephone or video conversations with respect, dignity and professionalism in all situations
Continuously learn and expand your medical interpretation and interpersonal skills, accepting and responding to quality monitoring feedback
What You Bring to the Role
Exceptional English and Spanish skills including written and verbal
Demonstrated medical interpretation skills through certifications or ability to learn medical terminology through a self-administered (provided) training course and then pass a medical interpreting language assessment
Computer experience and tech savvy, with ability to adapt to emerging and changing technologies
Aptitude and passion for customer service and interpretation
Respect and understanding for customer with limited English proficiency from various cultures, and varying dialects, beliefs, and preferences related to medical / legal care.
Ability to maintain impartiality and confidentiality of patient information.
