At RSI we´re seeking a Legal File Clerk

Reporting to the Managing Paralegal of the unit, the Legal File Clerk assists with the creation and maintenance of claim files and documents and performs some clerical duties.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
1.\tAfter the shell case is opened by the Intake Team, completes all relevant case information in the case management system (Ex: Parties tab), including populating the Incident screen with a description of the incident.
2.\tSets up the case’s initial tasks (“to-do’s”) as directed by the supervisor.
3.\tDownloads and uploads digital claim files and master documents.
4.\tDownloads e-files from the Clerk’s docket.
5.\tAnalyzes incoming claim materials and determines how they should be organized in the case management system.
6.\tCombines, saves, and codes documentation in the firm case management system following the approved naming convention.
7.\tCreates and communicates Response for Discovery templates (“shell”) to the responsible attorney.
8.\tProactively communicates with team members and the Department leader.
9.\tAll other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
1.\tSome college required.
2.\tGeneral Legal knowledge (Preferred).

Competencies
1.\tC1 English Level
2.\tComfortable with navigation between different systems
3.\tProficient in MS Word and Outlook, Intermediate Excel level
4.\tAdherence to strict deadlines
5.\tTeamwork Orientation
