Sutherland is seeking a senior project manager to Join a dynamic and collaborative Professional Services (PS) team at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions to our clients! This position reports directly to the Director of Professional Services and offers the opportunity to work alongside a talented group of Project Managers (PjMs) and PS Engineers. Job Description
The senior project manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:
•\tOverall responsibility throughout the project lifecycle including Initiation, Data Acquisition, Configuration, Data Validation, UAT, Tuning and Deployment phases.
•\tManage all project tasks including schedules, budgets, and resources, to ensure that quality solutions are delivered within time and cost constraints.
•\tEstablish relationships and effectively communicate with key members of client team including business users and management personnel.
•\tPrepare project status reports and presentations to keep management, customers and others informed of the project status and issues.
•\tDevelop, implement, and maintain standard practices for client implementations aligned with the Actimize operating model.
•\tCommunicate and advocate customer requirements and concerns to product management team, R&D and other internal stakeholders.
•\tCreate & manage project plans. Define project schedules, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
•\tGet involved in project at high level for functional and technical aspects.
•\tCo-ordination of multiple projects amongst different internal teams and stakeholders.
•\tAlign project objectives with company goals, and make sure project team is clear on objective.
•\tBuild and manage client relationships.
•\tMentor staff with a hands-on approach and foster a learning and growth environment.
•\tActively transform business requirements into creative business solutions using existing products and new ideas that demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking.
•\tPrepare project status reports and presentations to keep management, customers and others informed of the project status and issues.
Qualifications
•\tOverall, 8 -12 years IT industry experience
•\tMinimum of 5 years, hands-on on the project management role
•\tPMP or Prince2 certification
•\tBS Degree in computer science, business, or work equivalence.
•\tProven experience managing several major projects involving diverse operations and technology groups.
•\tFinancial securities industry experience including Risk Management, Compliance. AML
•\t5+ years of experience in software or technology environment – A PLUS
•\tPossess excellent organizational and communication skills.
•\tStrong ability to use facts and data to influence decisions.
•\tAbility to prioritize and make appropriate decisions.
•\tProven ability to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
•\tExcellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, plus a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of associates.
•\tAbility to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers.
•\tAbility to work with minimal guidance or supervision in a time critical environment.
Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes
