They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support a high-volume freight brokerage operation. The ideal candidate will assist with booking trucks, coordinating freight movement, and managing communication between drivers, clients, and carriers. This position is essential to ensuring timely and efficient transportation services while maintaining strong relationships with all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Trucking Operations: Manage daily load assignments, dispatch drivers, and ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries. Carrier Communication: Maintain constant communication with carriers and drivers to monitor load status and resolve any en-route issues. Load Booking: Source available trucks, negotiate rates, and book loads to fulfill client requirements. Documentation & Tracking: Enter accurate load information into the TMS, track loads, and update statuses regularly. Client Support: Provide updates to clients on shipment status and address any concerns or issues that arise. Problem-Solving: Address delays, driver issues, and routing problems quickly and effectively. Team Collaboration: Work closely with agents and brokers to support account management and ensure a high level of service.
Requirements
1+ year experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or freight brokerage (preferred) Knowledge of U.S. trucking regulations, lanes, and documentation Strong communication skills (spoken and written English) Tech-savvy and experienced in using dispatch software or TMS platforms Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Preferred Skills: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Familiarity with tools such as DAT Load Board, TruckStop, or similar platforms Experience supporting agents or running independent accounts is a strong advantage
