Key Responsibilities
Collect and verify client data, including existing group health plans, employee census, provider history, and previous claims
Coordinate with sales and support teams to gather all necessary materials for accurate quoting; identify and request missing information swiftly
Analyze demographic, industry, and experience data to calculate group insurance rates using sophisticated underwriting methodologies
Assess new business proposals in collaboration with senior underwriters or management to maintain a healthy portfolio
Process quote requests and internal investigations in compliance with company policies
Update underwriting systems and databases regularly
Share underwriting expertise with sales teams and contribute to ongoing education
Stay informed on plan offerings, internal relations, underwriting protocols, company strategy, and procedures
