The ideal candidate is skilled in consultative selling, understands freight services (FCL, LCL, breakbulk, air cargo, trucking, etc.), and can manage both warm and cold leads through a structured sales process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management & Conversion
-Contact and qualify hot and cold leads generated from marketing campaigns.
-Understand client requirements for ocean, air, and land freight and provide tailored solutions.
-Maintain a CRM with up-to-date lead and client information.
Sales Execution
-Prepare and present competitive freight quotes (FCL, LCL, air cargo, trucking).
-Negotiate terms and close deals while meeting profit margin targets.
-Build long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
Collaboration
-Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality.
-Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
Reporting & Targets
-Meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
-Provide weekly activity and sales reports to management.
Requirements
Languages: Native or near-native English and Spanish (spoken & written).
Experience: Minimum 2 years in freight forwarding sales (ocean, air, and/or land freight).
Strong knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping procedures, and documentation.
Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and closing skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, digital environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling for an NVOCC or freight forwarder with digital booking capabilities.
Existing network of shippers or importers/exporters in Latin America, the US, or Europe.
Understanding of customs clearance processes and trade compliance.
