We are seeking an experienced Banking and Loan Specialist with a strong background in banking operations, loan processing, and mortgage handling. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a banking environment and possess a comprehensive understanding of banking procedures, loan products, and mortgage documentation. This individual will play a key role in ensuring seamless financial transactions and providing exceptional support to clients throughout the loan and mortgage process.
Hourly Rate: The equivalent of US$ 9.4 per hour in the applicant’s local currency
Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40h per week
Schedule: Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Bay Harbor Islands FL, USA, Eastern Time (with a 30-minute paid break)
Work Arrangement: Work from home
Contract: Independent Contractor
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
Responsibilities
Process and manage loan and mortgage applications from origination to closing
Review and verify financial documents for accuracy and compliance
Assist clients with loan inquiries, providing clear explanations of products and requirements
Ensure all banking transactions follow internal policies and regulatory guidelines
Liaise with underwriters, title companies, and other relevant parties to ensure timely completion of loans
Maintain and update client records and loan documentation
Provide general banking support, including account servicing, document processing, and customer inquiries
Monitor loan performance and ensure timely payments or follow-ups as needed
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to team efficiency
Requirements
Proven experience in a banking environment (2+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of loan products, banking processes, and mortgage handling
Excellent English and Spanish communication skills
Familiarity with banking software and CRM tools
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
Preferred:
Experience with both residential and commercial mortgage processes
Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance procedures
