Talento is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, performing basic accounting tasks, and supporting the finance department with day-to-day activities. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and statements
Verify the accuracy of invoices, payments, and other accounting documents
Reconcile bank statements and assist in the monthly account reconciliation process
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements for management review
Support the finance team in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses
Enter financial data into accounting software and ensure timely and accurate data entry
Assist in responding to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and invoices
File and organize accounting documents, ensuring records are up-to-date and easily accessible
Perform other administrative and accounting-related tasks as needed and whatever other tasks the company may require front of you
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree in accounting or related field preferred)
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
